I love all the summer festivals on offer the various town festivals are all so different. I love the farmers markets, I really love food! Especially locally produced, somehow, it just tastes nicer! This summer I went to the 'Take to the Tees Event' Wow! that was amazing, you could try all sorts on the water, right here on the river tees!
The Tees Valley has fantastic people here too, so friendly and helpful. Great rail, road and air links! Fantastic beaches, I particularly love Saltburn, there is something so captivating about sitting on a Sunday afternoon watching the waves, the surfers, the kids having a great time on an immaculate beach thinking Wow, this is right on my doorstep! We are steeped in history, and all in all it makes for one truly amazing place to live and play! I have family and friends from all ages, shapes, sizes and backgrounds, with various ages of children I have a one year old myself and there is always something for us to do and see!
I am very bubbly and enthusiastic, especially enthusiastic about the Tees Valley! I feel so passionate about what we have here and even more so about getting people to see and realise what is right here on our doorstep! I am not one for sitting in and watching TV, there’s a whole amazing active and adventurous life out there and you just got to go grab it! I work 3 days per week but even then I will come home at 6pm and take my boy out on a big bike ride, the cycle paths are great!

I don't want to blow my own trumpet (well ok why not?) but I think I'm a great communicator and can engage with a varied audience be it old, young, lively, quiet, uninterested, keen, anyone!. I'm already an avid visitor to Tees Valley events and I would love to be able to share that experience with others to create a bigger take up. Getting more people and families out for weekends and to events would be a huge sense of achievement. Forget the shops, do something different! (that strapline sounds familiar!)
Well I would usually bike ride, beach and park it, and visit local places and attractions. I like to go out for the day! I look out for events in the paper mid week and put them in my calendar, sometimes I have tonnes to choose from!

If I am attending events be it Tees Valley or otherwise then I always have my sister and my nephew and various other family or friends in tow! I like to be out and about, seeing and doing things! There's still a lot more I could be doing, perhaps things I've never thought about partaking in before. As a Face of the Tees Valley Challenger now I can! and even better, share it with the good people of this area! :-)
